Down Home is the duo of Joe Iantorno and Paul Matthews, who started playing together around 2008. The pair were introduced at that time by their “then girlfriends (now beautiful wives).”
As Joe puts it, “Paul found out I played guitar, and I found out he played piano and sang, so we had a few drinks and started jamming that day. For the last decade or so, we’ve mostly just played just for fun…working on covers… But over the last 6 months or so, we started writing original music and it has really gotten us re-engaged in playing music.”
Joe lives in Granger, IN, and Paul made his home in Chicago. The duo gets their families together monthly and Joe and Paul play music. Joe says, “The Acorn is the only place we’ve ever played out – they’ve been good to us and we really enjoy playing here.”
