Shopkeepers offer special activities and cheer as they present their finest in holiday merchandise during Christmas Open House Weekend, November 11-12. Ascension Borgess-Lee Hospital and the Chamber are proud to host the Dowagiac Christmas Celebration. Enjoy the relaxed pace of holiday shopping, the way it used to be, as this favorite two-day event opens on Friday.
Yuletide classics trumpet the crisp air, welcoming families to holiday activities held downtown on Open House Saturday from 10 to 2 p.m. A true-to-life Old-World Santa and Europeen-styled Mrs. Claus greet children downtown. Enjoy vocal, instrumental and dance performances at Beckwith Park, tour our grand city by horse-drawn carriage and meet local artisans, when you visit the Theta Mu Sorority Craft Show, held at Dowagiac Middle School from 9 to 3 p.m. For a detailed list of activities, see below.
